# How it works

Choose a plan, install the eSIM, and connect when you land.

## Choose a plan

One country, or a region if you cross a border.

## Install the eSIM

Add it in your phone settings before you leave.

## Connect on arrival

Turn on data roaming for the AirGiga line. The plan starts at the first connection.

## A phone that already supports eSIM

Three trips where this is the straightforward choice.

- You are leaving the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, or Singapore, and the phone is unlocked.
- You live in the EU, and this trip leaves it, so EU roaming no longer covers you.
- You are landing in Japan or South Korea and want data without a shop.

Other trips work the same way, if the phone supports eSIM.

## Before you buy

### Data only

Calls and texts stay on the SIM you already use.

### No contract

You buy a plan for the trip. There is nothing to cancel.

### Roaming on this line

Keep data roaming on for AirGiga. Turn it off on your home SIM, or that carrier can still charge you.

### Hotspot

Only if that plan includes it.

### No account

Nothing to log in to. The eSIM stays on the phone you install it on.
